How India Defeated China in 1967 ?

Do you know that India took on a conflict against China in 1967 to secure its land and also won this battle. 

India came into furious and destructive contact with China where two countries battled each other at Two areas Nathu la and Cho la, over the edge of Sikkim-Tibet border. 

Most importantly this is the last clash between two countries before the Galwan valley conflict of May, 2020.

In Nathu la,fight proceeded for 4 days from 11-14 September 1967 and in CHO LA it was for 1 day on October first, 1967.

WHAT HAPPENED BEFORE - 

Following the 1962 Sino-Indian War, the Indian Army raised various new patroling units over the border with china. 

Particularly at the Nathu La, close by the Sikkim-Tibet border , Chinese and Indian millatry personnel are just deployed around 20–30 meters far from one another. 

Curiously, China gave a final proposal to India to empty the Nathu La post in 1965 however 17 mountain division's Major General, Sagat Singh, wouldn't do as such. 

THE D-DAY - 

“Nathu la fight”

Toward the beginning of the day of 11 September 1967, the architects and Jawans (troopers) of Indian Army began laying the stretch of fencing from Nathu La to Sebu La along the apparent outskirt.

According to Indian Defense Ministry announced, 88 murdered and 163 injured on the Indian side, while 340 executed and 450 injured on the Chinese side, during the two clashes. 

Despite of such a battle, not many individuals know about this courageous triumph of the Indian Army.
